Cushman & Wakefield congratulates Joanna L. Martinez upon being honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in Industry and Commerce by Rutgers School of Engineering.
Ms. Martinez ENG’75, GSNB’77, an executive managing director of Cushman & Wakefield, was recognized by School of Engineering Industry Advisory Board chair, Peter Cheresia ENG’84, who cited her achievements in supply chain management and as an engineer, a profession where Rutgers is working as a school and university to bring more women into the STEM field.
“Over her career, Joanna has created ways in which procurement and supply chain help grow a company’s bottom-line,” said Michael J. Bartolotta, Cushman & Wakefield Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President. “Today, in her role as chief procurement officer for Cushman & Wakefield, she brings innovations to the firm and to its facilities management clients.”
Ms. Martinez was one of six distinguished alumni honored at the annual gala event earlier this month on the Rutgers New Brunswick campus for their impact on planning our cities, improving our health and quality of life and securing our economic well-being. Award recipients were also presented with a resolution to honor their achievements on behalf of the state of New Jersey. The event, which supports engineering scholarships, raised $160,000.
