International real estate advisor Cushman & Wakefield expands its Valuation & Advisory team in the Netherlands with the recruitment of twelve senior surveyors, all previously employed at ING. Nearly all are RT and RICS certificated and will work from several locations in the Netherlands. This gives Cushman & Wakefield greater regional valuation coverage.
The appointments are a considerable boost to the Valuation & Advisory team which now has nearly 50 professionals, bringing a strong track record in banking and property valuations as well as development and land valuations.
Jeroen Lokerse, CEO Cushman & Wakefield Netherlands: "The recruitment of these highly experienced surveyors have been achieved in a short period of time because of strong mutual trust and shared ambition to play a leading role in building a more transparent and professional property market. In both knowledge and expertise we complement ING’s surveyors, and our processes and culture are very similar. This sets a fantastic foundation for an integrated team which will work successfully with the banks, and ING in particular, to whom we are able to offer an even better valuation service”.
Frank Adema (pictured), Head of Valuation & Advisory in the Netherlands, expects the growth of his team to receive an even bigger boost: “I see a huge potential for further growth in our traditional business which is primarily focused on the valuation of offices, residential, retail, logistics and hotels. That makes us an attractive employer for surveyors because they can develop their expertise with us across a broad business base. This expansion and our further specialization in bank appraisals will most certainly lead to growth of our business in the financial world. It gives us a new strategic position in the financial sector.”
