Betty McIntosh brings more than 25 years of experience in assisting major U.S. and international clients in making strategic decisions related to expansion and relocation decisions. She has represented clients in automotive, consumer markets, industrial products, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, steel, telecommunications, IT solutions, and retail industries. Ms. McIntosh has secured business incentives for all manner of real estate transactions, including manufacturing, corporate headquarters, distribution and warehousing, research and development, and green building facilities. She obtains tax and operational savings for various types of projects through her strong relationships, tax and financial knowledge, and negotiation skills.
Ms. McIntosh has conducted site selections and assisted in developing financial strategies for numerous clients, including Hyundai, DaimlerChrysler, Mobis, Ford Motor, Benteler Automotive, Fidelity National Financial, StrideRite, Titleist Footjoy, Johnson and Johnson, and Remington Arms.
She also works with economic development organizations on targeting, strategy, training, and coaching. She has provided consulting services for Georgia Power, Louisiana Economic Development, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Welsh (Wales) Development Agency, Berlin (Germany) Economic Development Council, Georgia Department of Economic Development, Biomedical Research Foundation of Northwest Louisiana, and Duke Energy.
Ms. McIntosh joined C&W in 2006, bringing experience from her own site selection and incentives consulting practice, bMac Consulting, as well as from KPMG where she served as, among other roles, Southeast Practice Leader for the Business Incentives Group (BIG) and National BIG Partner in Charge of the Automotive Industry Sector for the firm. Ms. McIntosh was also with Coopers & Lybrand (PriceWaterhouseCoopers). She is nationally recognized as an expert on economic development issues and has been quoted in publications including The Wall Street Journal, Tax Management, and CFO Magazine. She is currently Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of MultiState Taxation and Incentives
