Brendan May is an Associate in Cushman & Wakefield’s Capital Markets Group with a focus on residential land sales in the Mid-Atlantic Region. He joined Cushman & Wakefield in July 2018 and is responsible for supporting clients in the acquisition and disposition of residential & mixed-use land assets. He accomplishes this by providing market research, underwriting, financial analysis, and transaction due diligence. The residential land advisory team has been extremely active in the Washington DC metro area over the last six years, especially in Fairfax County, where it has closed or is under contract on 29 transactions valued at over $570 million.

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Brendan spent two years working in office leasing at Transwestern in its Washington, D.C. office. During his tenure at Transwestern, Brendan became a founding member of a new agency leasing team called Transwestern Urban. Transwestern Urban is a team comprised of leasing experts, architects, and property managers with a focus on assisting clients in repositioning Class B office properties in DC to achieve leasing success. The team secured over 300,000 SF in new leasing assignments in its first year, including the first ever business won at Transwestern nationally from John Hancock Real Estate.

Brendan resides in Northwest Washington, D.C. and is a graduate of The University of Michigan where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He volunteers as a boys 5th & 6th grade basketball coach at The Blessed Sacrament School in Chevy Chase and sits on the Auxiliary Board of the Washington Jesuit Academy located in Northeast, Washington, D.C.
