ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
David Canning is a highly respected industry specialist who has been active in commercial and industrial sales and leasing in Metro Vancouver for over 35 years. Since commencing his real estate career in 1980 with A.E. LePage (the predecessor of Cushman & Wakefield Ltd.), he has developed a reputation for extensive market knowledge, a dedicated work ethic and a high degree of integrity.
David has been involved in lease transactions totaling over 8.4 million square feet, and sales transactions totaling over $430 million. His experience and expertise include vacant land sales, owner/user land and building sales, leasing, build to suit transactions and investment sales. His clients benefit from his professional approach and his extensive knowledge of all aspects of a real estate transaction.
Over the last few years David has acted on behalf of various local, national and international clients including: Bosa Properties, Dorel Industries Ltd., General Electric Canada (GE), Guillevin International, Imperial Oil, Panavision Canada, Sauder Industries Ltd, Shato Holdings, Sugoi Sportswear and TELUS.
EDUCATIONAL, MEMBERSHIPS AND AWARDS
David has a Bachelor of Commerce in Urban Land Economics from the University of British Columbia. He has volunteered as a Director of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver – Industrial, Commercial, Investment (ICI) Division, and is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). David has been a consistent company award winner and in 2008 was inducted into Cushman & Wakefield’s Hall of Fame, recognizing his exceptional, long-term sales performance.
