Gary Cottet entered the commercial real estate industry with Pyramid Brokerage Company in 2001 after 25 years in the industrial gas and welding supply business. Prior to joining Pyramid, Gary owned and managed Cottet’s Welding Supply, Monson Welding Sales and Cryogas Manufacturing. Mr. Cottet holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Boston College.
The focus of Mr. Cottet’s commercial real estate practice is the leasing and sale of industrial properties. He has organized and coordinated the efforts of Pyramid's Syracuse Industrial Council since 2008. He has been recognized as the Syracuse office’s Salesman of the Year and has received the Syracuse Deal of the Year award multiple times.
Mr. Cottet has worked with national, regional and local clients in the industrial, retail, office, site selection and development sectors of the market. His background and experience includes expertise in lease and sale transactions, marketing, tenant and buyer representation, real estate consulting services and the adaptive re-use of industrial facilities. Mr. Cottet’s past experience as a business owner and manager provide him with an understanding of management perspective while applying a brokerage skill set to assignments.
