Gaurav Baijal



Mr. Baijal serves as the primary point of contact for the V&A-DAG India, for managing the day-to-day operations, hiring, on-boarding, training, and providing due diligence and underwriting support to the U.S. Diligence Advisory Group. With a finance background, he has over 10 years of commercial real estate experience in various asset classes, including but not limited to multifamily, commercial, and hospitality. In the last six years, Mr. Baijal worked on an agency client and has extensive experience in detail underwriting and valuation of multifamily properties; worked on assignments involving U.S. CRE loan originations, full service underwriting, lease abstraction, and other due diligence support.

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Baijal worked with Ernst & Young (EY) leading and growing the U.S. Transaction Real Estate practice involved in variety of real estate valuation engagements including, but not limited to, Channel 1 Fair Value Review, Channel 2 support, and CMBS due diligence support. Prior to EY, Mr. Baijal worked at BlackRock, India spearheading the India operations for their Commercial Real Estate (CRE) underwriting group. He has supported on assignments involving CRE origination and full service underwriting across various asset classes, credit memos, and data tapes used for securitization.

Mr. Baijal also led India firm-wide initiative called ‘Knowledge Byte’, organizing knowledge sessions by visitors (subject matter experts across service lines) visiting India office. He was also part of Risk initiative, acting as a risk ambassador for the larger financial market advisory group. He is also a certificate holder in a short course on Principles of Stock Exchange Investment.
