Hideaki Suzuki is Director/Head of Japan Research at Cushman & Wakefield. Hideaki joined the firm in January 2017 and responsible for managing Japan Research team. His team assists decision making of domestics/foreign investors and occupiers by providing detailed market analysis for Japanese markets. Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, he was Head of Japan Real Estate Service (formerly IPD) as well as a member of APAC Client Coverage team at MSCI (Morgan Stanley Capital International), assisting institutional investors, such as Sovereign Wealth Funds, Life Insurance Companies, Pension Funds, REITs, Developers, for their real estate allocation decision making and its benchmarking analysis. His clients were not only limited to Japan but also varied across Asia: Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. Hideaki started his real estate career as a real estate broker. Hideaki is active in public speaking. He presented his views at MIPIM (global real estate forum), Global Real Estate Investment Conference (GREIC) and alike, as well as he is frequently quoted in press such as Wall Street Journal, Nikkei Real Estate News etc. He is an author of C&W’s quarterly market report “MarketBeats”.
