Jack McAllister is Cushman & Wakefield’s Senior Portfolio Manager overseeing investor services for the South Florida market and operates out of the Fort Lauderdale office. As Senior Portfolio Manager, Mr. McAllister’s primary responsibility is for the management of approximately 5 million square feet of industrial/warehouse facilities, office buildings, retail shopping centers, and facility management assignments. These duties include retail leasing, rent collections, physical plant maintenance, implementation of capital improvement packages, construction management for a new tenant build-outs, and supervision of property management, maintenance and support staff.
Mr. McAllister has over 20 years of Commercial Real Estate experience including duties as portfolio manager for a U.S. pension fund, a real estate investment management firm and at leading property management firms. Prior to him returning to Cushman & Wakefield he served as a Senior General Manager at JLL where his primary responsibilities included implementation of ownership’s “Value Added” investment strategy for two Class A high-rise CBD office buildings totaling over 1 Million square feet in Tampa and Orlando. He oversaw and directed two project teams including property management professionals and engineering staff. This included execution of capital projects, tenant relations, vendor relationships and all facets of commercial real estate property management.
Highlights of his management include a implementation of $5 million capital improvement program in Orlando and a $2 million improvement program in Tampa along with tenant improvement projects totaling over $7.5 million. During his oversight occupancy increased from 68% to 83% in Orlando and 78% to 88% in Tampa.
Previously, Jack ran a 4.5 million square foot portfolio of office building across Southern California for Hines and Cushman & Wakefield comprised of 31 projects and 59 buildings. Jack oversaw and directed all aspects of property operations and implementation of the owner’s investment strategy.
Mr. McAllister graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill where he received a Bachelor of Arts, Economics. He also attended Louisburg College receiving an Associate of Arts, Cum laude and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. He also served as class president.
