Jack McKinney is Vice Chairman and Head of Agency Leasing for Cushman and Wakefield in the Chicagoland area. In the past 35 years, Mr. McKinney has executed over 25 million square feet of office leasing in the Chicago metropolitan area.
Mr. McKinney’s innovative and comprehensive marketing strategies have resulted in an outstanding list of new developments and successful office building repositionings, including such iconic properties as Prudential Plaza, Hyatt Center, Merchandise Mart and the Chicago Title & Trust Center.
After college, Mr. McKinney served 2 years in the Marine Corps, before returning to The Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Mr. McKinney used his Master’s degree in International Business and Marketing at IBM for 8 years departing as a Branch Manager in the Data Processing Division. After an initial 10 years in the real estate industry with LaSalle Partners, he started his own firm in 1990, J.F. McKinney & Associates. Over the past 25 years, JF McKinney has grown to represent major investors such as Sam Zell, TIER REIT, Hearn, Vornado, and Northwood Investors. As head of J.F. McKinney & Associates, Mr. McKinney has secured anchor office tenants such as Baker & McKenzie, Goldman Sachs, IBM, Mayer Brown, Accenture, Peoples Energy Corporation, Amoco Corporation, and the American Hospital Association.
