Jack joined Grubb & Ellis in 1975 as an independent contractor. He was promoted to Senior Marketing Consultant in 1979, Senior Vice President in 1990, and Executive Vice President in 2009. Jack’s experience in the Retail Division includes site selection for neighborhood and community shopping centers, commercial subdivisions, site planning coordination with developers and major tenants, retail leasing, build-to-suit transactions, and ground lease transactions. Since the economic slowdown in retail development, which began in 2008, he has shifted his focus to representing buyers of existing shopping centers, developers of urban mixed-use projects, senior housing developers, and tenant representation. Jack was instrumental in the formation of BRE Commercial, LLC and was elected to its first Board of Directors for a two-year term in 2003. In 2010 BRE Commercial, LLC transferred its affiliation to Cassidy Turley and in July, 2013, Cassidy Turley bought BRE Commercial, LLC. DTZ, a global real estate firm bought Cassidy Turley in 2014. Later, in 2015, DTZ brought Cushman and Wakefield and took its name. Jack is currently a Managing Director and shareholder of Cushman and Wakefield.
