Joseph Freda has been with Cushman & Wakefield since 1987. He currently managers over 2 million square feet of commercial property at ten sites in New York with over 500 commercial tenants for the Downtown Asset Services Group. This includes supervising building employees, including property managers, administrative assistants, operating engineers, elevator mechanics, fire safety personnel and cleaning supervisors and their support staff.
Mr. Freda served three years on the Energy Committee, negotiating fixed price contracts for numerous clients. From 1991 to 1999 he was a Portfolio Manager in C &W’s Midtown Asset Services Group. From 1987 to 1991 he reported to the Federal Bankruptcy Court for the Marcos Properties, responsible for preparing over 1,200 court orders.
Prior to joining C&W, Mr. Freda was a Chemical Engineer for various firms, including Stone & Webster Engineering Corp, C.E. Lummus Corp and Heyward-Robinson Company.

Mr. Freda is a 1970 graduate of Pratt Institute with a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and a 1967 graduate of the State University of New York with a A.A.S. in Chemical Technology. He 1991 he obtained the BOMA NY Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation. His industry affiliations include Building Owners & Managers Associate of New York (BOMA) and the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY). Mr. Freda was recently invited by Local 94 of the IUOE to attend their course titled “Homeland Security Training Program”.
