Mr. Hopkins (CalDRE Lic. #01836071), Director of Strategic Consulting, has a prodigious background in commercial real estate and the finance industry. Hopkins currently works with clients to optimize their real estate portfolio through various disciplines including strategic solutioning, transaction negotiation, strategic forecasting, acquisitions/dispositions, and cash flow management. He also works with owners and developers on market feasibility studies, cash flow analysis, value-add positioning, and ground-up development management. While attending UCLA Anderson receiving his MBA, Hopkins’ concentration was on corporate finance, strategy, and real estate. Hopkins has worked with both public and private companies in defining their overall corporate strategy and aligning that with their real estate strategy. Hopkins also has advised buyers and sellers on both pre and post M&A transactions as it relates to the residual values and cost. He is also part of the Strategic Consulting Team for Cushman & Wakefield.

Some of Hopkins’ clients include Comcast, H&R Block, Citi Bank, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dean Foods, Chick-Fil-A, Batteries + Bulbs, and Club Pilates. Hopkins also works with institutional landlords and developers such as Federal Realty, Macerich, General Growth Properties, Vestar, Regency Centers, ROIC, and Heitman.

Hopkins joined Cushman & Wakefield at the beginning of 2017. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Hopkins ran his own brokerage consulting company based in Newport Beach, CA specializing in real estate development consulting and entitlements. Hopkins has been involved the UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate and has been a guest speaker at UCLA Anderson on various strategic real estate disciplines. He was also a partner in the national QSR restaurant chain, Pieology Pizzeria, with over 100 locations across the country as it was recognized by Technomics Restaurant report as the fastest growing QSR restaurant chain. While receiving his undergraduate degree, Hopkins majored in Business Management and played Division I college basketball for Idaho State University.
