Leah Dauer Murphy is an Executive Director and the National Hospitality & Gaming Practice Group Leader for Cushman & Wakefield’s Valuation & Advisory group, based out of Chicago. In addition to national oversight of the Hospitality & Gaming Practice Group, Leah’s valuation and advisory experience includes market and financial feasibility studies, product/brand recommendations, impact studies, ground lease analyses, purchase price allocations, and the valuation of hotel, motel, resort, casino, golf, marina, and mixed-use developments. She has provided valuation and consulting assignments for commercial banks, investment banks, pension funds, life insurance companies, private investors/developers, and various law firms. Leah joined the Chicago office of Cushman & Wakefield in 2016. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Leah was a consultant and real estate appraiser with HVS Consulting and Valuation between 2007 and 2016.
For more than a decade, Leah has valued various hospitality lodging assets and land in excess of $15 billion. In addition to her consulting and valuation experience, Leah has nearly ten years of operational experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong focus in food and beverage. She continues to be an adamant supporter of hospitality education through her involvement with the Washington State University’s School of Hospitality Business Management and the Castell Project. Leah currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, as well as the Community Relations Committee of the TEMPO Emerging Women Leaders’ chapter in Milwaukee.
