Margery Johnson is a Senior Director of Land Brokerage Services with the Orlando branch of Cushman & Wakefield and has been active in selling land and investment properties in Central Florida since 1988.
Among notable land sales for which Ms. Johnson represented the seller are numerous bank-owned residential tracts of various sizes, a condo hotel with land, mobile home parks in Florida and the Mid-West, a 366 acre mixed use commercial and resort property, a 48 acre mixed use office, retail and hotel tract, several parcels on South International Drive, a 170 acre business park, a 156 acre residential tract, a 64 acre resort tract, in addition to scores of other properties including multifamily, hotel, office, industrial, and retail properties.
Ms. Johnson received her undergraduate degree from Vassar College and also earned an MA at the University of Manitoba in Canada. She did additional graduate work at Yale University, where she was admitted to Ph.D. candidacy. Later, she earned the CCIM designation. Her interest in working with overseas investors led her to pursue the CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) designation.
A member of the founding Board of Directors of the Central Florida Commercial Real Estate Society, she was president of that 400-member group in 1999. She has served on the Board of Managers of the local CCIM District Branch and is an active member of NAIOP (National Association of Industrial and Office Parks), ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers), ULI (Urban Land Institute), CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women), the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission, and Leadership Orlando. She was recognized as the top Orange County (Orlando) land broker for 2006 by the Central Florida Commercial Association of Realtors (CFCAR) one of many awards she has received, including Deal of the Year and the Wilbur Strickland leadership award. In 2008, she received CFCAR’s Top 10 awards for both Investment Sales and Overall Production. Ms. Johnson received “Woman of Influence” award from the Real Estate Form and NAIOP #1 Land Broker for 2009. In 2010 Ms. Johnson took second place in both the NAIOP and CFCAR Land Broker Divisions, and for 2011, she received top producer awards in both the Land and Investment categories.
