Mark S. McGranahan, an attorney and accountant, specializes in representing tenants with their real estate needs in downtown San Francisco and select multi-market accounts, as well as large landlord listing assignments. 

Mr. McGranahan has worked as the exclusive real estate provider in multi-market transactions for QRS, Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton, Broadcom, Delta Dental, and Keenan & Associates.  He has also worked on numerous leases for Wells Fargo Bank in California, Texas, Utah, and other markets. Mr. McGranahan’s 30 years of real estate practice results in more than eight million square feet of leases in San Francisco.

Mr. McGranahan has worked on strategic lease terms for large landlord assignments including Salesforce Tower, Flower Mart, 2 Kaiser, Pier 1, 333 Bush and others.

Prior to his association with Cushman & Wakefield and Cushman Realty Corporation, Mr. McGranahan was a staff attorney with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, Division of Corporate Finance, in Washington, D.C.  Mr. McGranahan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a JD from the University of Southern California. Mr. McGranahan was formerly the President and on the Board of the East Bay Regional Park Foundation. He is a member of CoreNet, Fisher Center of Real Estate, USC Marshall Partners, the Olympic Club and Claremont Country Club.  He is also on the Board at the Olympic Club and on the Board of the Americas and the Executive Committee of The Tenant Rep Group for Cushman & Wakefield. He is a part time lecturer on real estate at UC Berkeley.

Mr. McGranahan was Cushman & Wakefield’s top producer in San Francisco in 2002, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2018 and ranked among the top 100 producers nationally in 2002 - 2018. 


  • Salesforce Tower, 1,400,000 sf - Co-listed with CAC Group on the preleasing and marketing to the brokerage and tenant community which led to 750,000 sf lease with Salesforce and 60,000 sf with Bain & Company.
  • 1455 Market, 1,000,000 sf - Provided strategy on how to tenant as Bank of America phased out and converted the building from owner/user to multi-tenant. Led to leases with Square and Uber.
  • 333 Bush, 630,000 sf - Provided leasing services for five years prior to sale.
  • 101 Montgomery, 300,000 sf - Repositioned and leased after Schwab moved out of entire building.
  • 375 Beale, 300,000 sf - Provided leasing services to BAHA (quasi gov't agency) to lease after remodel. Led to 80,000 sf with Twilio, 21,000 sf with Degenkolb Engineers, and 15,000 sf with Rutherford + Chekene.
  • 160 Spear, 300,000 sf - Provided leasing services. Brought from 60% to 97% occupancy.
  • 33 New Montgomery, 240,000 sf - Assisted Blackstone (now Barings)  with repositioning prior to sale including the capital plan on remodeling the lobby, creating spec suites and developing the leasing plan.
  • 425 California, 185,000 sf - Leased building from 85% to 100% occupancy.
  • Pier 1, 150,000 sf - Worked on retenating space on the Pier after initial tenants vacated the property.
  • 300 California, 120,000 sf - Recently renewed Recurent Energy to stabilize the asset at 100%.
  • 1 Montgomery, 70,000 sf - Renewed Wells Fargo bank prior to being sold.
