Maury Smith joined Cushman & Wakefield in 1999 after a successful sales career with Houghton Mifflin Publishing Company, where he was responsible for managing over 30 college accounts with 2,500 customers. Since joining Cushman & Wakefiled, Mr. Smith has been concentrating on office leasing in Hartford County. He has specialized in tenant representation and the marketing of high quality office projects. He is a part of the Hartford-based team, with Jon Putnam, Bob Kelly and Joel Grieco, which has been the most consistently dominant office team in Hartford County for over 15 years. The "A" team, as their competition refers to them, has closed over 1 million square feet of transactions in each of the last 7 years, including 2.5 million square feet in 2007 alone.
Maury was recognized nationally within Cushman & Wakefield for his strong dedication to client service, receiving the "Service Excellence Award" in 2007. In 2005, Mr. Smith was selected as an "Emerging Broker," representing an elite group of young brokers chosen by their manager as future company leaders and high producers. Maury has represented companies such as American Cancer Society, Mass Mutual, Microsoft, Sodexho, Disability Management Alternatives, Connecticut Innovations and Fallon Health.
Maury and his wife Alexandra live in Hebron with their sons Maurice and Timmy. He has been active with the Big Brothers organization for more than a decade. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont, with a Bachelor of Arts.
