Michael has been involved in the real estate and construction industry for over 20 years. He is a hands-on manager who has the ability to deliver Clients’ needs on schedule and on budget. Having been engaged on both the service provider and client side, he has worked within many market sectors with a primary focus on retail and corporate office environments.
Attentive to detail and a team leader who takes the time to develop the skills and mentor to others, Michael has demonstrated great leadership in representing our Clients. Working with the delivery team at all levels he maintains great attention to detail and strives to bring the best value solution to the issues and challenges that are inherent to any project.
Michael’s depth and breadth of experience adds a great diversity of skills to our team and he is thoroughly knowledgeable in all aspects of project management, including concept and scope definition, budgeting, competitive procurement and request for proposal procedures, contract negotiation, regulatory approvals and construction oversight. Michael has a reputation for minimizing change orders and bringing complex projects to completion on time and within budget and his former experiences have led him to receive a Toronto Construction Association Best of the Best Award in the field of large scale retail for his management role of the Yorkdale Shopping Center renovations.
Prior to joining C&W, Michael represented owners in major capital projects including new construction and extensive renovations and roll-outs for The Bay, Loblaw, National Grocers and Holt Renfrew. He has also held the position as senior project manager for Ellis-Don Construction where he was involved in many high profile and large scale retail and institutional projects.
