Mitch Arkin joined the firm in 1999 and is stationed out of the Headquarters office in Midtown Manhattan.  He is a seasoned professional with a reputation for creatively solving complex transactions.

Mr. Arkin has over three decades of experience handling office leasing in New York City during which time he has negotiated millions of square feet of lease transactions.  His in-depth understanding of the leasing process, including the financial aspects, the details of the lease document and the marketing and branding of a building contributes to his strong advisory role with his clients.

Awards & Associations

Mitch spent the first 14 years of his career as an in house leasing executive for Sage Realty, Cohen and Rockrose.  He graduated from Emerson College in Boson with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Communications and attended Pace University’s Lubin Graduate School of Business in New York City.

He is formerly a Vice Chairman of Salvadori Center (a local not for profit) and was elected Chairman of the Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association of New York in 1999; and he was honored with the Young Real Estate Man of the Year award at the 2003 REBNY Banquet.  An avid outdoorsman and musician, he spent several years in Bogota, Colombia and is fluent in Spanish.  Mr. Arkin resides in Bedford, NY with his wife and 3 children.

2015 – Industry City Associates in the transformation of an industrial warehouse complex in Brooklyn by leasing 55,000 sf to Time Inc.

2014 – Cementbloc in the leasing of 55,000 sf at 32 Old Slip, NYC

2011 – Morgan Stanley Prime Property Fund in leasing 650,000 sf to 4 companies at 2 Park Avenue, NYC

2009 – Banco Santander Central Hispano in the renewal of Sentinel Real Estate Corporation for 70,000 sf in 1251 Avenue of the Americas, NYC

2008 – Beacon Capital Partners in constructing 25,000 sf of television studios for News Corporation at 1211 Avenue of the Americas, NYC

2007 – Brenan Beer Gorman Architects in negotiating a 31,000 sq. ft. lease for their relocation to the Empire State Building, NYC

2006 – Comcast of Connecticut in the leasing of a 77,000 sf call center in Enfield, CT

 2005 – Jamestown in leasing 250,000 sq. ft. to Ropes & Gray after negotiating a lease surrender for the space with JP Morgan Chase and the leasing of 115,000 sq. ft. of expansion space to News Corporation after negotiating a lease surrender for the space with CIT Group at 1211 Avenue of the Americas for which he won The Henry Hart Rice Most Ingenious Deal of the Year Award from the Real Estate Board of NY (REBNY).

 2003 – Jamestown in the renewal and expansion of News Corporation for 800,000 sq. ft.

 2002 – Banco Santander Central Hispano in negotiating a lease termination for 50,000 sq. ft. with the United Federation of Teachers at 50 Broadway, NYC and in subleasing 125,000 square feet to three different tenants in three buildings in New York City on their behalf.
