Within Cushman & Wakefield, Nancy’s focus is real estate analysis through the lens of strategy development, workplace transformation and sustainability. Nancy analyzes real estate opportunities, formulates strategic solutions to problems, and assists our clients with their decision-making process by finding ways to maximize the value of the integration of business, people, place and sustainability and align these requirements with market dynamics.
Nancy works with top performing companies to plan workplaces that reinforce their brand, motivate and engage employees, attract and retain talent, improve workflow and productivity and produce new efficiencies that cut costs and boost profits. Working in partnership with leading design and change management firms, she has been creating tailored solutions that draw from the best practices of other leading global companies. This work is having a profound impact on our clients’ market strengths. Most importantly, she will works with our clients to further develop real estate as a strategic tool.
She began her professional career as a Design Architect in a prestigious design firm, having responsibility for total project delivery. In 1986, Ms. Cohen became Chief Architect at a development company that specialized in residential, office and industrial development. In 1991, Nancy joined an international real estate brokerage and consulting firm to lead the strategic real estate facility and occupancy consulting group as senior executive and manager. Ms. Cohen has also worked as a senior real estate executive at a global real estate firm in Chicago, also specializing in facility consulting. Ms. Cohen joined Royal LePage Commercial (now Cushman & Wakefield Ltd.) in 1999.
Her volunteer activities have included board appointments to MTHA, OAA President-Elect, and an Addictions Funding Policy Group for OHIP.
She is a graduate of: the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering at the Technical University of Nova Scotia; the Faculty of Environmental Design Studies at Nova Scotia Technical College, and the Faculty of Science at Acadia University in Math and Physics and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
