Randy Thompson is a Senior Managing Director of U.S. Corporate Project Management in Cushman & Wakefield’s Global Occupier Services group, and also serves as co-leader of the firm’s Build-to-Suit Specialty Advisory Group. This highly collaborative team focuses exclusively on industrial/manufacturing build-to-suit assignments and is responsible for leading pursuits and transactions all the way through occupancy. Thompson also serves on Cushman & Wakefield’s national Sustainability Committee and is an active member of the firm’s industrial platform team, focusing largely on distribution centers, manufacturing plants, and cold storage facilities.

As part of the firm’s Global Occupier Services group, Thompson is responsible for developing and managing relationships with some of the company’s largest clients, as well as coordinating resources and working in alliance with regional project managers throughout North America and the world. He has more than 30 years of experience leading and managing high-achieving, cross-functional teams and handling complex programs, running projects, and overseeing construction assignments. He has deep expertise in project management, construction oversight, systems integration, tactical operation design, and strategic planning experience. He has worked with clients in a variety of industries, including healthcare, financial services, legal, insurance, distribution, high-tech, chip fabrication, food production, cold storage, hospitality, professional services, engineering, and energy industries. Since 2004, he has managed more than 12 million square feet of build-to-suit assignments.

Frequently published and quoted, Thompson has written numerous articles for the Dallas Business Journal, D CEO, DFW TechBiz, Area Development, Relocation Management, Facilities Management, and Texas Lawyer. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield in 2001, he worked in Texas for a start-up technology consulting firm that focused on the design and implementation of technical projects, including call centers, network operations centers, and data centers. He began his career in 1982 with Siemens in Los Angeles.
