Profile

Richard Bell joined Cushman & Wakefield in July 2013 with a diverse set of skills and experience gathered over 20 plus years of working in Commercial Real Estate as a Facility Manager, General Contractor and Project Manager. In his tenure since 2013, he has served as Account Lead for a 15-person Project Management and Space Planning team on the SunTrust Bank account in Atlanta and served as a Senior Project Manager on the iHeartMEDIA Account.

Before his time at Cushman & Wakefield, Richard led a regional project management team for CBRE, serving the Bank of America account across the Southeast region. Richard’s leadership skills are evidenced by the successful teams he has put together over the past 20 years. He is equally at ease with large, global clients as well as smaller regional firms and can relate to each having spent time serving in both types of companies. As a project manager, Richard has managed projects ranging from large infrastructure projects, tenant fit-outs, medical facilities, TV and radio studios and ground up retail.

Assignments

  • SunTrust Bank/Collegedale, TN Branch - Managed ground up construction of a new 2,500 SF bank
  • SunTrust Bank/Sharon Square Branch - Managed construction of a new bank branch in a 5-story ground up building in Charlotte, NC
  • SunTrust Bank/SunTrust Investment Services - Renovation of a 6,250 SF space in downtown Atlanta for SunTrust Investment Services to include client facing, back of office and call center
  • Bank of America/ Portfolio Optimization Program - 20 individual projects with a $27MM collective budget. With a beginning footprint of 1.7MM SF, the team was able to shed 771K SF while relocating more than 1,000 employees and renovating/right sizing 750K SF
  • Bank of America/Trading Floor Contingency Site - Built out 400+ seat contingency site for Bank of America’s Charlotte trading floor in Columbia SC. Project included N+1 redundancy for emergency power
  • Bank of America/Emergency Power Upgrade - Installed 1 Meg Generator and 750 kW UPS system in BAC Operations Center in Greensboro, NC
