Since 1999, Mr. Mace has provided clients with successful consulting solutions in the areas of location analysis and supply chain strategy for distribution and manufacturing facilities across diverse industries and geographies. His particular areas of expertise include site selection, utility and transportation infrastructure comparisons, operating costs/conditions assessments, facility program management, real estate due diligence, incentive negotiations and labor market analysis. Manufacturing and industry sectors for which he has completed projects include chemical, steel, food, life sciences, automotive, plastics, metal fabrication, renewable energy, e-commerce, and various other consumer goods. Furthermore, he has experience in economic development strategy consulting for state and local agencies related to business park siting, industry targeting, and business attraction/retention strategies.
He served as the overall project manager for a comprehensive, 16-month site selection, supply chain optimization and incentive negotiations project for ThyssenKrupp’s $4.5 billion, 2,700-employee steel production facility in Mobile, Alabama. He has published articles and has been quoted on site selection and location strategy topics in various trade publications. He serves on the Editorial Board of Area Development Magazine, and is a member of the Site Selectors Guild, a group comprised of roughly 25 of the industry’s most highly experienced site selection consultants.
