Tim Sommer is a Senior Vice President with Cushman & Wakefield’s Capital Markets Group and has been involved in the commercial real estate industry for twenty-five years. His experience extends beyond brokerage, allowing him to more effectively meet the challenges of completing transactions from both a buyer and seller perspective, having acted as both in previous positions. Based in Victoria, Tim has also worked extensively in Vancouver and Calgary, as well as in the Prairie Provinces.
His real estate career began in 1993 in Vancouver, before joining the firm in 2004. Specializing in the marketing and sale of investment and development properties, he spent over a decade in Alberta, before relocating to Victoria, B.C. in 2013. To date, Tim has over two decades of combined brokerage, development and operations experience and has been involved in the sale and acquisition of over $1.1 billion in commercial real estate, spanning the full spectrum of property classes, sizes, and transaction structures, and with all types and sizes of private, public, institutional and government clients.
As a consistent top-performer within Cushman & Wakefield, Tim has developed an extensive list of contacts across many platforms from decades of participation in western Canada’s commercial real estate industry, providing clients with unique and broader market coverage.
Tim is a resident volunteer with the Development Committee of the James Bay Neighborhood Association, and is an avid cyclist. He resides in James Bay with his wife of twenty-six years.
