William A. Brown has been a member of C&W New Jersey since August 1995. In January of 1996 Mr. Brown was a member of a team specifically assembled to dispose of more than 350 locations for a major U.S. corporation. This project was completed within one year resulting in substantial savings for C&W’s client.
From September 1996 through June of 2000, he was a member of the Lucent/C&W account team managing transactions from Maine to Virginia. Lucent Technologies Inc. launched a separate company, Avaya Inc., in October of 2000 and invited C&W, specifically Mr. Brown, to spearhead Avaya’s transactions in three-quarters of the U.S., all of Europe, Africa, Latin America, and Canada. He also participated in the early planning phases of Avaya Real Estate (Avaya Inc.’s real estate subsidiary), helping create an efficient method of delivering complete real estate services to Avaya.
Most recently, Mr. Brown has represented companies such as Novartis, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, ThermoFisher Scientific, Watson Pharmaceuticals, UBS, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, and Travelport.
Prior to joining C&W’s Parsippany, New Jersey office, he was an industrial broker in C&W’s San Francisco Peninsula, California office from March of 1986 through July of 1995. He has worked on a variety of leasing and sale assignments for clients such as Fisher Scientific, AMB, Equitable Real Estate, Deutsche Bank (then Bankers Trust), and Fila, as well as a variety of independent landlords and tenants.
In 2007, Mr. Brown and his team were awarded NAIOP’s “Economic Impact Deal of the Year” award for his representation of The Hampshire Real Estate Companies in its redevelopment and long term lease to The Medicines Company in Parsippany, NJ. Also, for his tenant representation services, he was awarded the 2007 Morris County Economic Development “Broker of the Year” award for the most amount of square footage leased in Morris County.
Mr. Brown is a graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in the State of New Jersey.
