The second edition of Cushman & Wakefield Occupier Fit Out Cost Guide sets out current average fit out costs across a range of sectors, to help guide London occupiers through the early stages of defining their relocation budgets. This guide provides an indication of the fit out construction costs associated with delivering low, medium and high quality specifications fit out within London.
"Leading up to the referendum in June 2016 construction costs were continuing to rise steadily however there was some hesitation in the market through Q2 - Q3 2016, as investors, occupiers and developers came to terms with the potential impact of a post Brexit UK. The level of enquiries started to increase and accelerate through the last quarter of 2016 and have continued into the early part of 2017. The recent ratification of the referendum in Parliament, which will trigger Article 50 and the commencement of a Trump US could again see the real estate market pause whilst the full implications of both are understood. While confidence is evident, this is mixed with a degree of caution which some would argue exists in the London fit out market”
