DFSS Hungary
The school works with more than 100 students aged 16-25. Most of them suffer from instability, low self-esteem, and have learning problems. Some come from broken homes and financially disadvantaged families.
The school has very limited funding, and extracurricular activities are normally kept at a minimum.
In 2007 a range of activities were put in place:
As a result of a fund raising activity organized by C&W Budapest, tables, chairs and a fax machine were bought for the school.
C&W donated computer equipment. An auction was held at a charity challenge event with Hungarian major clients. A selection of paintings were auctioned and some 330£ were raised for the school.
A 4 day trip to London took place in July attended by 6 students of the school: an incredible opportunity for learning and teambuilding for children with no previous possibilities to travel.
