Lands End to John O'Groats

On April 20th 2008 Paul Coulter of the Glasgow Office Capital Markets team set off on a cycle the length of Britain from Lands End to John O'Groats. He completed this solo attempt in a mere 7 consecutive days. With a total distance of around 900 miles this involved over 125 miles per day whatever the weather. The aim is to raise around £10,000 for Schools Around the World. Read Paul's blog of his long distance journey.
"My goal is to raise funds for SATW's latest project, the building of a residential school near Miono in Tanzania. There is a severe lack of secondary level education opportunities due to the Government not having sufficient funds to build enough schools to meet demand. This school will be only the 3rd built in a region serving over 240,000 people.
It will eventually cater for 700 pupils and has the backing of the Minister of Education in Tanzania.
Cushman & Wakefield SATW are closely monitoring the build and every penny donated goes directly the project. I am aiming to raise £10,000 which would pay for 1 classroom."
