Cushman & Wakefield’s Valuation & Advisory Hospitality & Gaming Practice Group provides consulting and valuation services for new and existing hotel properties across the globe. We are pleased to share our latest Canadian Lodging Industry Overview for 2019 and beyond.
As we embark on 2020, the industry continues to perform above historic levels but the pace of growth in 2019 showed a considerable slowdown with seven of the ten largest markets in Canada reporting declines in RevPAR. After an impressive 5.3% annual increase in national RevPAR in 2019, results through November 2019 showed a 0.2% decline; the first decline in the past decade.
