At the end of the second quarter class A office vacancies in Santiago continuing declining to a historic low of 3.7%. During this period there was no new space added which considerably reduced the space available and also the number of transactions.
With respect to rents, there was no great change compared to the previous period, since there are some mechanisms that cushion the impact of low vacancies, such as a change in contract terms, reducing grace periods, increasing financing and restricting exit flexibility.
