Mr. Cantera is a Certified General Appraiser licensed in four states: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland with 18 years of Commercial Appraisal experience. He is also a member of the Appraisal Institute and holds the MAI Designation. Currently employed by Cushman & Wakefield, Cantera holds the title of Senior Director and is a member of the Dispute Analysis & Litigation Support practice group within Cushman & Wakefield. Cantera's experience as a qualified expert witness includes testimony in U.S Bankruptcy Court, Court of Common Pleas, the American Arbitration Association, and various taxing authorities.
The Dispute Analysis & Litigation Support Practice Group is comprised of experts in damages theory, valuation, accounting, finance, economics, land use, real estate industry standards and practices, capital market issues, and financial and statistical modelling.
In April of 2015, Mr. Cantera joined the Pennsylvania Cushman & Wakefield Advisory Group. Mr. Cantera has been the primary professional involved with the valuation of over $3 billion worth of real estate, comprised of a wide array of commercial property types. These valuations were utilized for financing, estate planning, eminent domain, assessment appeal, bankruptcy, dispute resolution, litigation support, internal planning, highest and best use analysis and rent studies.
Mr. Cantera has also completed numerous complex appraisal assignments including both real estate and going concern analyses of highly specialized property types such as asphalt plant operations, mining/quarry operations, concrete plants, and recreational sport facilities such as ice-skating rinks and other arena type complexes.
