Beau Cantera is a Director within Cushman & Wakefield’s Valuation & Advisory Group. Mr. Cantera started his appraisal career in 2005 as a trainee at a regional commercial real estate appraisal firm located in suburban Philadelphia and obtained the MAI designation 2014. In April of 2015, Mr. Cantera joined the Pennsylvania Cushman & Wakefield Advisory Group as a Senior Associate and was promoted to Director in 2017. Since joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Cantera has been the primary professional involved with the valuation of over worth of real estate, comprised of a wide array of commercial property types. These valuations were utilized for financing, estate planning, assessment appeal, financial reporting, bankruptcy, dispute resolution, due diligence, litigation support, internal planning, highest and best use analysis and rent studies. Users of these reports include lenders, insurance companies, private investors, , attorneys, government agencies, developers, and owners.
In addition to the generic property types and analyses associated with commercial appraisal work, i.e. valuation of industrial properties, office complexes, shopping centers, multi-family properties, residential sell-out models and vacant land analyses, Mr. Cantera has completed numerous complex appraisal assignments including both real estate and going concern analyses of highly specialized property types such as asphalt plant operations, mining/quarry operations, concrete plants, and recreational sport facilities such as ice-skating rinks and other arena type complexes. Mr. Cantera holds Certified General licenses in the following three states: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
Mr. Cantera is also a member of the Dispute Analysis & Litigation Support Practice, which is comprised of experts in damages theory, valuation, accounting, finance, economics, land use, real estate industry standards and practices, capital market issues, and financial and statistical modelling and has qualified as an expert witness in U.S. Bankruptcy Court; and has appeared before tax assessment appeal boards in the State of Pennsylvania.
