International Women's Day: Salumeh Companieh
As a leader in the tech industry and Head of Enterprise & Corporate Solutions at Cushman & Wakefield, I believe it’s critical that we advocate for women and girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields where we’re traditionally underrepresented or face challenges advancing to the next level. I #ChooseToChallenge the gender gap in STEM careers.
My pledge on International Women’s Day is to continue to serve as an active mentor to my women colleagues, and to pursue opportunities within the broader industry to help support and advance women. One example I’m excited about is being an inaugural member of Lift, a network for women in digital and technology who strive to learn, connect and learn from each other.
I’m proud to work alongside so many incredible women and celebrate us not only today, but every day.
I can't imagine what my life would be had it not been for the strong women who taught me, loved me, encouraged me, corrected me, and walked alongside me. My life, my career, and our world is better because of women. And so, I celebrate International Women's Day every day of every year.

I will cultivate an open-minded environment to foster gender equality in the workplace. I will also continue to mentor and encourage junior colleagues to become future leaders in the organization.

Equality and diversity in the workplace are essential elements of a business strategy, vision, and mission. An organization has a social responsibility to provide equitable opportunities which generate a feeling of belonging. When people feel they belong, they are more committed to the organization.
