With rising technical, regulatory, and ESG standards, nearly half of the warehouse stock may require upgrades. Obsolescence is categorized into five types: structural, technical, regulatory, geographical, and economic. The study highlights three strategies to manage long-term value: anticipate, sustain, and transform assets. Three case studies (BARJANE, PANATTONI, LOGICOR) showcase these strategies through construction, renovation, and densification projects. The goal is to extend warehouse lifespan and value while meeting evolving market demands.
