Cushman & Wakefield supports Zeeman on arrival in Portugal
28/04/2023
The first store in Portugal opened in one of the main streets of Matosinhos, Avenida da República, with an area of 250m2, intending to reinforce the neighborhood store concept.
Zeeman was founded in 1976 in the Netherlands and sells clothing, textiles, toys, among others. The multinational already has more than 1,300 stores spread across countries such as France or Spain. Portugal now enters that list, as the eighth country in the history of internationalization of the Dutch chain.
For Susana Pires, Consultant in the retail department of Cushman & Wakefield Portugal, in Porto: “The opening of the first Zeeman store in Portugal, once again reinforces the choice of Cushman & Wakefield to represent the brands in their expansion strategy, on the other hand, the fact that Zeeman chose this city for the opening of its first store proves that greater Porto is on the radar of retailers and is seen as a retail bet”
