The Edifício Avenida, located on Avenida Dr. Lourenço Peixinho, has welcomed the city’s first Endesa Store this week – marking the company’s sixth physical shop in Portugal. Endesa has taken a 145 sqm space in one of the most iconic buildings in Aveiro. Cushman & Wakefield acted on behalf of the property owner in this transaction.
Endesa has been expanding its presence in Portugal through the opening of new physical outlets known as “Endesa Stores”, which offer personalised services such as energy consumption advice, account management, and in-store contract subscriptions. The most recent openings took place in Vila Real and Braga in 2024. Currently, the company operates five other stores across the country (Vila Real, Vila Nova de Gaia, Braga, Porto, and Lisbon).
“Following Bertrand, the opening of the first Endesa Store in Aveiro, in Edifício Avenida, reinforces the building’s relevance within the local community. It also reflects the increasing vibrancy of Aveiro’s high street retail, driven by tourism growth and the city centre’s urban regeneration – factors that are attracting more and more brand interest,” comments Susana Pires, Retail Consultant at Cushman & Wakefield, who led the transaction.
