Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) announces the completion of the sale of the building located at Avenida do Forte 9, in Carnaxide, often associated with the former Lusitana Brewery, which operated at the site for many years. In this transaction, the consultancy advised the seller, representing the Portuguese Family Office Lusoproa, and also identified a private investor as the buyer.
The building, located on one of Carnaxide’s main thoroughfares, has a total area of 3,500 sq m spread over three above-ground floors, includes 113 underground parking spaces and is currently vacant, offering significant redevelopment potential.
Inês Sousa, Head of Private Wealth at C&W, commented: “This transaction reflects the growing interest of private investors in assets with transformation potential, supported by a solid business plan that ensures asset value appreciation and long-term capital preservation. It was a pleasure to support the seller in a transaction aligned with the buyer’s objectives, reinforcing Cushman & Wakefield’s role in creating positive impact and contributing to the revitalisation of urban centres.”
The parties involved chose not to disclose the values of the transaction.
