Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) announces the appointment of António Almeida Ribeiro, who takes on the leadership of the Office Agency department at Cushman & Wakefield, succeeding Pedro Salema Garção.
António Almeida Ribeiro joined the company on June 11 as Partner and Head of Office Agency.
António Almeida Ribeiro joins Cushman & Wakefield with a solid track record in the real estate sector, marked by experience in consultancy, transactions, and leasing. Over the past 11 years, he developed his career at CBRE Portugal, where he took on increasing responsibilities until being appointed Director of Offices Investor Leasing, a role he held for more than three years. During this period, he distinguished himself through strategic advisory to investors, landlords, and occupiers, as well as by leading complex real estate transactions, contributing to the evolution of the office market in Portugal. Academically, he holds a degree in Management from the Instituto Superior de Gestão.
“António is a highly accomplished professional who offers us absolute confidence. He understands the office market in all its complexity and will naturally collaborate with our specialists in this sector to deliver 360-degree solutions to our clients’ challenges. He has experience leading senior teams and knows the market like few others. We are delighted to have him on board,” says Paulo Sarmento, Head of Portugal at C&W.
“I am extremely enthusiastic about taking on this new challenge at Cushman & Wakefield, a leading company in the real estate sector, with an excellent team and a strong client-focused culture. I enter this new professional stage with great motivation and the ambition to contribute to strengthening Cushman & Wakefield’s leadership in the office market, putting my experience at the service of our clients and partners. I would also like to thank Paulo Sarmento for the trust he has placed in me to lead this area. I am very pleased to join this team and determined to contribute to the company’s growth and success in the coming years,” says António Almeida Ribeiro, Head of Office Agency at C&W Portugal.
It is worth noting that Cushman & Wakefield’s office team has extensive experience in marketing a wide range of buildings and provides services to developers, owners, and occupiers, both nationally and internationally. In recent years, it has been involved in the most emblematic transactions, largely due to its leadership in leasing mandates (exclusive or co-exclusive) for some of the most prominent projects in Lisbon and Porto. The team is also responsible for the largest office leasing transaction carried out so far in 2026 – over 9,000 sqm in the new Fidelidade Headquarters building, part of the EntreCampos project.
