Cushman & Wakefield (C&W), in partnership with WORX Real Estate Consultants, announces the placement of a global fintech company in the Castilho 26 building, located at Rua Castilho no. 26 in Lisbon.
WORX Real Estate Consultants was responsible for introducing the tenant in this leasing process, while Cushman & Wakefield acted on behalf of GNB Gestão de Ativos, the asset management company of Novo Banco’s Pension Fund.
Castilho 26 is a premium office building located in one of Lisbon’s most prestigious and central areas, just a few meters from Avenida da Liberdade. Developed across 10 floors above ground, it stands out for its prime location, open views, and abundant natural light.
With approximately 6,169.41 sqm of office space, the building offers large, flexible, and adaptable areas to meet occupiers' needs, combining contemporary architecture with high-quality materials and finishes. Guided by high sustainability and energy efficiency standards, it integrates modern solutions that ensure comfort, performance, and efficiency, positioning itself as a benchmark in the premium office segment in Lisbon.
Afonso Almeida Fernandes, Senior Consultant in the Offices Department at Cushman & Wakefield, comments: “We are very pleased to have completed another leasing transaction in the Castilho 26 building. This property is in the final phase of a comprehensive and carefully executed refurbishment, establishing itself as a landmark space that combines modernity and functionality.” It is worth noting that this is the third leasing transaction completed by Cushman & Wakefield in this building, where it holds the commercialization mandate under a co-exclusive agreement with JLL.
Ricardo de Sousa Silva, Senior Real Estate Asset Manager at GNB GA, highlights that “Castilho 26 represents a new generation of premium offices in the center of Lisbon, combining location, modernity, and efficiency. The fact that the building is practically 100% leased even before the completion of the works confirms the relevance of this asset and the confidence the market places in the work carried out by Novo Banco’s Pension Fund. The entry of this new tenant further reinforces Castilho 26’s position as one of the benchmark buildings in the prime CBD.”
