Cushman & Wakefield (C&W), a leading global real estate services firm, announces the promotion of five new Associates: Alvaro Forero, Inês Sousa, Joana Pedro, Manuel Pereira, and Ricardo Passarinho.
Alvaro Forero joined C&W in 2022 and, at the beginning of this year, was appointed Head of Living & Alternatives within the Investment department. Throughout his career at the consultancy, he has supported investors across the entire investment cycle, from deal structuring and financial analysis to due diligence and transaction closing. Prior to joining C&W, he worked as a Project Engineer at the Colombian company Duralab SAS and was also part of the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team at Enduring Ventures. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and a Master’s in Finance from Nova School of Business and Economics and Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá.
Inês Sousa also took on the role of Head of Private Wealth at C&W earlier this year. During her career within the Investment team, she has been involved in several landmark transactions, specializing in advising Family Offices and High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs) on strategic deals, further strengthening her expertise in private investments. Before joining Cushman & Wakefield in 2022, she worked as a lawyer at Sonae Sierra and also held positions at Caixa – Banco de Investimento and CBRE Investment Management in Madrid. She holds a degree in Law from the University of Lisbon Faculty of Law, a postgraduate qualification in Corporate Finance, and a Master’s in Management from Nova School of Business and Economics.
With more than 13 years of experience in sustainable construction, Joana Pedro joined the consultancy in 2023 as Sustainability & ESG Manager. Her main responsibilities focus on the development and implementation of new sustainability and ESG consulting services for the real estate sector, as well as providing technical support and guidance to the company’s current and future clients. Before joining C&W, she held various roles in both local and international organizations. Academically, she holds a Master’s in Architecture from the Technical University of Lisbon and a PhD in Sustainable Buildings and Urban Systems from Instituto Superior Técnico and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Among other executive qualifications, she also holds a postgraduate degree in Smart Energy Buildings & Cities from Eindhoven University of Technology.
Manuel Pereira joined C&W in 2015 as Operations Manager in the Asset Services department. Throughout his tenure with the consultancy, he has managed portfolios for international clients such as AFIAA, Jamestown, Montepino, and Square, demonstrating a strong commitment to excellence and extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Coimbra Institute of Engineering, an MBA in Business Management from Universidade Lusófona, and a Master’s in Finance from the Catholic University of Portugal. Prior to joining the consultancy, he worked for companies including Santogal and Tecnindul.
Holding a degree in Civil Engineering from Universidade Lusófona and a postgraduate qualification in Economics from ISEG, Ricardo Passarinho has been part of the Project & Development Services department since 2019. During this time, he has been responsible for managing several flagship projects, including the Cofidis headquarters at Natura Towers and Mastercard’s IT Campus in Lisbon. More recently, he assumed the position of Head of Build within the Project & Development Services department. Before joining C&W, he worked for companies such as Mota-Engil and Vector Mais.
