Team Spotlight: Sorim Jie, Senior Director, Investment Advisory – Korea

Sorim Jie • 11/09/2025

We’re delighted to spotlight Sorim Jie, Senior Director of Investment Advisory at Cushman & Wakefield Korea, whose leadership continues to shape Korea’s commercial real estate landscape.

Since joining Cushman & Wakefield in 2018, Sorim has been at the forefront of Korea’s capital markets, advising on both cross-border and domestic transactions. Her career spans real estate consulting, investment, construction, and asset management—giving her a uniquely holistic view of the market. She currently leads the Korea Investment Advisory team, specialising in financial products such as fund shares, REITs, and private equity, while also providing development advisory services.

Sorim’s strategic acumen and client-first approach have earned her the trust of institutional investors across Asia Pacific. Her track record includes high-profile transactions across asset classes—from office towers like State Tower Namsan and Hyundai Card HQ to retail and hospitality assets such as Hongdae Mercure and Lotte Mall Gwangmyeong.

Most recently, Sorim advised on the sale of Gangnam N Tower, a significant office property in Seoul’s Gangnam Business District. The transaction, completed through effective negotiation and strategic marketing by Cushman & Wakefield’s Capital Markets Group, attracted considerable interest from both end-users and REITs. To accommodate the seller's wish to maintain an interest in the asset, the transaction was organized as a share deal: 50% of shares were sold to an end-user, with the remaining shares reinvested by existing shareholders. Given the transaction’s complexity, our Investment Advisory team played an active role to ensure efficient execution.

“This achievement demonstrates the value of our domestic team’s extensive network and market expertise, combined with close collaboration among our cross-border specialists. Together, our local and international teams provide clients with comprehensive insights and solutions for complex transactions in Korea’s commercial real estate sector,” said Sorim Jie.
Her dedication to excellence continues to drive investor confidence and capital flows into Korea, making her a standout contributor to our regional success.
