Antonacci brings with him 35 years of experience in the retail real estate sector, gained in senior positions at some of Europe's leading platforms. At Klepierre Group, he served as Deputy Chief Development Officer Europe and, prior to that, as Managing Director for Italy, where he led the management of 33 shopping centres with a total value of €4.5 billion and an organisation of 200 people. Prior to the merger with Klepierre, he was COO and Design & Development Director at Corio, while at Trema he directed leasing, centre management and marketing activities, overseeing the development of shopping centres from the greenfield stage through to opening.
"The reorganisation of the Asset Services division reflects the maturity of our business and our ambition to grow further in integrated retail services," said Joachim Sandberg, Head of Cushman & Wakefield Italy . "We manage shopping centres covering 1.2 million square metres, with 2,800 retail units, visited by 165 million visitors a year: a segment that, after the pandemic closures, has undergone a phase of profound restructuring, from which we are emerging stronger and with a stabilised portfolio. The arrival of Gino Antonacci allows us to strengthen not only our asset management activities, but also to integrate project management and construction services in an increasingly strategic manner, generating added value for our clients with a view to advanced cross-selling."
The appointment follows the path of Lamberto Agostini, who after four years at the helm of Asset Services — during which he stabilised and strengthened the business in a particularly complex post-pandemic phase — will now devote himself entirely to the Project & Development Services and Design & Build teams, areas that have experienced significant growth and now require dedicated strategic focus. Agostini will remain on the Board of Directors of Cushman & Wakefield AS Italy to ensure continuity during the transition and will work with Antonacci to enhance project management and construction services in the shopping centre sector.
As part of the reorganisation, the company has also defined new structures within the Asset Services management team: Giovanni Grifa retains his role as Head of Offices, Logistics & Alternatives and assumes interim responsibility for Technical Services; Antonello Delle Noci continues as Head of Retail; Alessio Bandera expands his responsibilities by adding Head of Operations to his role as Head of Client Finance.
