The Mint holds a unique position in the Brussels retail landscape. Located at the junction of Place de la Monnaie and Boulevard Anspach, directly above De Brouckère metro station and at the entrance to Rue Neuve (Belgium's busiest shopping street) the asset benefits from a captive, high-density catchment area that cannot be replicated.
In 2017, the property underwent an extensive renovation that redeveloped three floors of retail space and fully renewed the ground-floor façade. Particular attention was paid to unit flexibility, allowing the 12,500 sq m of retail space across its multiple units to accommodate a wide range of formats.
Cushman & Wakefield worked closely with AG Real Estate on the initial leasing of The Mint, securing a stable core of institutional and national-brand tenants (including Uniqlo, HEMA, Kiabi, Courir and Proximus) most of whom remain in place today.
This exceptional transaction confirms QRF's continued growth. It reflects strong investor confidence in high-street retail, as well as Cushman & Wakefield's market expertise in advising institutional buyers in this segment.
