An international electrical engineering company is relocating its Cologne branch. With the assistance and advice of Cushman & Wakefield, the company has leased approximately 860 m² in the urban commercial district of Carlswerk in Cologne-Mühlheim, Schanzenstraße 6 – 20.
The new premises will be occupied in spring 2026 following extensive refurbishment work on the building. The rental space will be fitted out to a high standard in line with the wishes and requirements of the future tenant.
The owner of Carlswerk is Beos AG, one of the leading asset managers and project developers for corporate real estate in Germany. The site comprises a total of around 110,000 m² of rental space, of which approximately 40,000 m² is office space.
Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate consultancy, acted as advisor and broker for the tenant in the search for space and the conclusion of the lease agreement.
Since acquiring the approximately 125,000 m² site of the former cable manufacturing factory of Felten & Guilleaume Carlswerk AG in 2007, Beos AG has comprehensively and continuously renovated the site and transformed it into a modern, mixed-use commercial campus. Current users include Rewe Digital, Bastei Lübbe, Tesla, Bühnen der Stadt Köln, Hochschule für angewandtes Management, Eurowings Digital and various catering and leisure businesses.
