01 THE CHALLENGE
Shin & Kim Law Firm wanted to move to a new headquarters in Korea. Keen to make its relocation a success, it opened competitive bidding to prospective real estate companies.
Cushman & Wakefield Tenant Advisory Group (TAG) rose to the challenge of open competition. For more than two years, we have been holding strategic marketing campaigns for the legal sector. We also held seminars on the future of the law firm's workplace, and were excited to contribute fresh ideas to the project.
Our team wanted to win over Shin & Kim, in order to hold a strong position against major competitors locally and globally, including asset management companies.
02 THE SOLUTION
Cushman & Wakefield managed to offer the best rate, negotiate lease terms, and minimise Shin & Kim’s relocation cost impact.
We secured a 15-year lease term and a guaranteed expansion right for a gross leasable area of approximately 330,000 sq.ft.
03 THE RESULT
Shin & Kim moved to its brand-new headquarters at D Tower, one of the prime buildings in Korea's Central Business District.
The deal was by far the largest that the Cushman & Wakefield TAG team has undertaken in Korea. It presented a huge opportunity for us to be a top tier player in the market after our first law firm relocation project with Youlchon LLC in 2016.
With Cushman & Wakefield's track record in the legal sector, we are now winning major deals and gaining market confidence.
