Verena Bauer • 07/05/2025

Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate advisory firm, has appointed a new Head of Sustainability and ESG for Germany. Jens Weymann, M.Sc. Energy and Environmental Engineering, will assume this position with effect from 1 May 2025.

Jens Weymann previously worked for the sustainability service provider EVORA, most recently as Head of Consulting Germany. He was responsible for the German consulting business there, focusing on decarbonisation strategies, data management and sustainability reporting for fund companies and portfolio holders. His other positions included roles at JLL in the area of Sustainability & ESG Consulting and E.ON as Innovation Manager.

Tina Reuter, CEO Germany at Cushman & Wakefield, comments: ‘Cushman & Wakefield has had a strong focus on environmental and sustainability aspects for many years and offers comprehensive services for investors and users in the areas of building certifications, ESG reporting, strategic consulting and asset optimisation at portfolio and property level.’

Martin Wellnitz, Head of Project & Development Services DACH at Cushman & Wakefield, added: In recent years, the topic of sustainability has taken on an increasingly far-reaching role for our investor and occupier clients. With Jens Weymann, we are meeting this demand and, by expanding the service, we are making the topic of sustainability & ESG an integral part of our client solutions. The integration of the topic across all services and operational areas is also a decisive factor in attracting and retaining new talent.’

Jens Weymann, new Head of Sustainability & ESG Germany at Cushman & Wakefield: "The political and economic environment is currently more volatile than it has been for decades. Nevertheless, we must maintain and intensify our efforts to transform our economy sustainably right now in order to reduce the risks - including the investment risks - of climate change. Cushman & Wakefield is ideally positioned to support our clients in the years ahead as a reliable and effective partner. I am looking forward to this work with my new colleagues.’
