Indian Real Estate Sees Stable Investment Activity in Q1 2026
India’s economic growth trajectory remained resilient in Q1-2026, with GDP forecast at 7.6% for FY26, supported by stable inflation and accommodative borrowing conditions following repo rate cuts in 2025.
Institutional real estate investments stood at USD 1.6 Bn, marking the strongest Q1 since 2021. Domestic institutions dominated with a 76% share, lending stability amid global volatility. Office assets led inflows with a 64% share, followed by the hospitality and residential sectors. Delhi NCR, Chennai, and Bengaluru emerged as top investment destinations. Core assets remained the preferred choice, while REIT participation and corporate office acquisitions continued to strengthen.
With strong domestic capital pools, healthy office demand, and expanding REIT portfolios, India’s real estate investment outlook remains positive for the remainder of 2026.
