Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) was responsible for bringing back XTREME, a Portuguese brand specialized in sportswear and streetwear fashion, to downtown Porto. After its previous presence on Rua de Santa Catarina, XTREME has now chosen No. 319 Rua Formosa — a space with over 200 m² — to strengthen its presence in the heart of the city. Opened on July 1st, this is the brand’s 12th store in Portugal.
Founded in 2004, XTREME specializes in the retail of footwear, clothing, and accessories in the sportswear and streetwear segments. Its portfolio includes brands such as Adidas, New Balance, Vans, Carhartt WIP, Patagonia, Asics, Levi’s, UGG, Veja, Salomon, among others. Currently, the brand operates 12 physical stores across Portugal and an online store.
“Porto’s downtown is now a vibrant area, far beyond Rua de Santa Catarina. Rua Formosa offers a strategic location, tourist flow, and local life — a perfect match for a brand like XTREME. We believe that diversifying commercial streets benefits everyone — brands, consumers, and the city itself — and we are proud to contribute to this dynamic with our new store,” says Edgar Seabra, CEO of XTREME.
“The return of XTREME to the heart of Porto, right in front of the iconic Bolhão Market and just a few meters from Rua de Santa Catarina, reflects brands’ continued investment in the city center and also highlights the revitalization of other important commercial streets in Porto. We congratulate XTREME on this choice and remain committed to promoting the renewal and diversification of the city’s retail offering,” comments Susana Pires, Senior Retail Consultant at Cushman & Wakefield, who handled the deal.
