Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed to lead the commercialisation of the common areas dedicated to Brand Events at UBBO Shopping Resort, one of the leading retail and leisure destinations in the Lisbon metropolitan area. With this mandate, the consultancy further strengthens its position in the management and activation of high-impact commercial spaces for brands.
As part of its strategy to enhance visitor engagement and strengthen its experiential positioning, UBBO is investing in the development of this area with the aim of fostering stronger connections between brands and visitors. The shopping resort's common areas are designed as a strategic environment for product launches, brand activations, exhibitions, events, and new kiosk-format concepts, contributing to an enhanced visitor experience.
In this context, Cushman & Wakefield will bring its expertise in the commercialisation of these spaces, implementing a professionalised model aligned with the asset's overall strategy. The company will help strengthen the centre's profile as a leading destination for national and international brands seeking visibility within a large-scale retail environment.
A key element of this evolution is the digitalisation of the management model through the introduction of technological tools that will optimise booking and contracting processes, facilitate activation planning, and improve relationships with brands and agencies.
Opened in 2009, UBBO features more than 280 stores, a gross leasable area of 127,469 sq m, and welcomes 22 million visitors annually. The centre has been recognised as the Best Shopping Centre in the Lisbon Area by Consumer Choice for seven consecutive years (2020-2026), reinforcing its position as a flagship shopping resort.
UBBO combines a leading retail offering with operators including Auchan, Primark, Inditex Group, H&M, KidZania, UCI Cinemas, and El Corte Inglés, among others.
