Cushman & Wakefield continues to strengthen its High Street Retail division with the appointment of two highly experienced real estate professionals: Marta de la Cruz, who joins the Madrid office as Associate, and María de Marco, who joins the Barcelona team as Senior Consultant.
These appointments form part of the company’s growth strategy within the High Street sector, where Cushman & Wakefield continues to reinforce its market position, driven by the strong performance of Spain’s leading retail destinations and growing interest from both retailers and investors in prime locations. Among the most significant transactions advised by Cushman & Wakefield in recent months are those involving Audemars Piguet, Loewe, Pandora, Golden Goose, Chloé, and On Running.
Marta de la Cruz joins Cushman & Wakefield's Madrid office as an Associate after more than 11 years at CBRE, where she developed her entire professional career and most recently held the position of Associate Director, Retail Leasing. In her new role, she will help strengthen advisory services for landlords, investors and occupiers, while supporting the expansion of Cushman & Wakefield’s High Street business in Spain.
She holds a degree in Economics and International Business from the University of Alcalá, where she also completed an International MBA, and additionally earned a Diploma in Fashion and Luxury Marketing & Communication from the Complutense University of Madrid.
Meanwhile, María de Marco joins the Barcelona office as Senior Consultant following more than 14 years at consultancy firm Ascana, where she specialised in High Street real estate advisory services. A qualified architect from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), she brings extensive knowledge of the Barcelona market and will contribute to further strengthening and expanding Cushman & Wakefield’s retail business.
Marta de la Cruz commented: “It is a privilege to join Cushman & Wakefield, a global leader and a benchmark in real estate advisory services.”
María de Marco added: “I am excited about this new stage in my career and look forward to contributing to the outstanding work that Cushman & Wakefield’s Retail team has delivered over recent years.”
Domènec Casellas, Head of Retail Agency Spain at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “The appointments of Marta and María represent another step forward in our growth strategy within the High Street segment. Both bring deep market knowledge and extensive experience advising some of the sector’s leading occupiers and property owners, which will strengthen our value proposition and our ability to provide the highest level of service to our clients.”
