Brusselmans joined Cushman & Wakefield in 1994 and has been Head of Office Agency since 2005. He was appointed Chairman of Belgium & Luxembourg in 2021 and has been instrumental alongside Buysschaert in shaping the wider success of Cushman & Wakefield in both countries. As one of the foremost office advisers in Belux, Brusselmans has delivered landmark transactions for some of the largest clients of the firm. He will continue with his client work alongside his Country Head responsibilities.

Buysschaert has led Cushman & Wakefield Belgium & Luxembourg for the past five years, having joined the firm 15 years ago. He and Brusselmans will work on a smooth transition of responsibilities before Buysschaert leaves the firm at the end of June to launch a new real estate investment fund.

Antoine Brusselmans, Incoming Head of Belgium & Luxembourg, Cushman & Wakefield, said: “It is a great honour to be appointed to lead this extremely talented team. I take this new responsibility with enthusiasm, and above all, in the spirit of serving our clients and delivering exceptional outcomes for them. I’m excited by the opportunities ahead for us and our clients and I am certain that together we will achieve great things.”

Marc-Antoine Buysschaert, Outgoing Head of Belgium & Luxembourg, Cushman & Wakefield said:

“Serving Cushman & Wakefield for 15 years, including five years as Country Head, has been the privilege of my life. I have been fortunate to work with highly skilled and inspiring colleagues delivering incredible work for our clients in Belgium, Luxembourg and beyond, and I see a very bright future ahead for the firm.”

Matthew Bouw, Chief Executive, APAC & EMEA at Cushman & Wakefield, said:

“Antoine has a track record of leading profitable, high-performing teams, winning major instructions and delivering standout transactions. His market profile, deep experience and relentless focus on our clients make him a huge asset for them, our colleagues and our organisation. I would also like to acknowledge Marc-Antoine, as he prepares to hand over the reins of a business in great shape financially and culturally, for outstanding work throughout his 15 years at Cushman & Wakefield. I have enjoyed working with him and wish him well for the rest of his time with us and his new venture.”

In addition to the Country Head announcement, Vincent Vanderstraeten has been appointed to succeed Marc-Antoine Buysschaert as Head of Capital Markets Office. Vanderstraeten has seven years of experience within the department and will now lead its strategic direction.
